The MetroHealth System is redefining health care by going beyond medical treatment to improve the community's health and well-being. Founded in 1837, MetroHealth is Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system, operating four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.

Job Description

The Executive Director - Philanthropy will shape and advance MetroHealth philanthropy by providing strategic leadership of a comprehensive philanthropy program for MetroHealth.

Reporting to The MetroHealth Foundation President and Chief Development Officer (CDO), the Executive Director - Philanthropy will have a demonstrated record of success leading comprehensive philanthropy programs, motivating high-performing fundraising teams, fostering engagement of internal and external stakeholders, and inspiring the achievement of inspirational goals.

Leads the Foundation and Office of Strategic Philanthropy's philanthropy team and implementation of fundraising strategies for major, planned giving, annual giving, and employee giving.

Oversees comprehensive donor stewardship, recognition, and naming programs.

Serves in a critical leadership role as a member of the department's six-person executive team. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
